Garlic, inside each clove you hold the vitamins and nutrients necessary for me to be and stay healthy on a daily basis.
Garlic contains trace amounts of essential vitamins that our bodies rely on daily; small, but it’s a significant little mix. In my search for natural antibiotics, I also learned about garlics many vitamins.
Garlic contains vitamin C, vitamin B6, Thiamin B1, Riboflavin B2, Niacin B3, Pantothenic Acid B5, Folate B9, vitamin K, and vitamin E.
Vitamin C is the largest amount of one vitamin found in garlic. Each clove contains about fifteen percent of the recommended daily intake. Vitamin C is known to help immune function, collagen production, antioxidant production, cardiovascular health, iron absorption, and aids in the healing of injuries.
Second to Vitamin C, is Vitamin B6. Garlic contains a large amount of this essential vitamin. Vitamin B6 contributes to red blood cell function and to the immune system.
Next, is Thiamin also known as B1. Thiamin contributes to overall energy metabolism, nervous system function, heart health, cognitive function, “diabetes management” and overall “immune system support” (Chatbot Assistant, POE, August 25, 2024).
Riboflavin, Vitamin B2, is critical to growth and development. Riboflavin plays a role in energy metabolism, antioxidant protection, vision health, red blood cell production, skin and mucous membrane health, and nervous system function.
Garlic also contains Niacin also known as B3. Niacin also aids in energy metabolism, cholesterol management, cardiovascular health, energy production, cognitive function, skin health, diabetes management and pellagra prevention.
Awesome in itself, next is Pantothenic Acid! Also known as Vitamin B5. Pantothenic acid is necessary for fat and carbohydrate metabolism, adrenal gland function, healing of injuries, immune system support, cognitive function, and red blood cell formation.
Next, is Folate. Also known as Vitamin B9. Folate is essential for the synthesis and the repair of our Deoxyrybonucleicacid, DNA.
Garlic also contains Vitamin K! Vitamin K is most famous for blood clotting and bone health.
Finally, is Vitamin E. Vitamin E is a potent antioxidant that aids in immune function, and cardiovascular, and eye health.
Garlic is truly nature’s miracle! A power punch of vitamins that will support any lifestyle if incorporated well.
